Reddit Was Built on Fake Accounts

According to Reddit cofounder Steve Huffman, Reddit was built on fake accounts. From Motherboard:

This makes me wonder how many other popular social sites were based on faking user interest. I wonder if suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder would help.
